LOS ANGELES, CA May 7, 2013 – The Westside beach community of Los Angeles will count itself as the first to experience an entirely new concept in fitness and wellness, bringing together technology and exercise innovation with high-design and architecture to create Studio KTM Training.
Located on historic Sunset Blvd just steps from the Pacific Ocean, Studio K will boast the most technologically advanced equipment and programing available to its limited membership. Proprietary K TrainingTM classes will be available to the greater community and offer a uniquely efficient functional training and cardiovascular workout performed in small groups led by Master K Trainers.
In partnership with world renowned Italian-based equipment manufacturer Technogym®, the facility will feature cardiovascular, strength training, and group exercise equipment positioned to drive exercise efficiency well beyond the traditional health club. All spaces will be exquisitely maintained and provide a distinctive ambiance, inspirational workout environment, and transformative exercise methodologies. Studio K has partnered with specialty nutrition, beverage, and apparel providers to complement its unique offering including AquahydrateTM, Pressed JuiceryTM, WOD GearTM apparel, and Eat Well LATM. Inside the crafted space are some of the industry’s top instructors and personal trainers.
The flagship location resides in a special address conveniently located between the beaches of Santa Monica & Malibu, and sits at the base of the Pacific Palisades hilltop community. Much of the Modern Beach Chic interior has been derived by is local inspiration. Studio K facilitates exercise training that envelops the doctrine of Kinesis, a word of Greek origin defined as motion or physical movement. The space provides members and guests with functionally intuitive workouts designed for a variety of goals – from strengthening one’s ability to perform well in the daily activities of life, to athletic supremacy.
K Training classes are 50-minute sessions performed in small groups within the specialized studio. The sessions utilize specially designed cable-based wall systems that incorporate proven exercise genres such as Core Training, Pilates, Sports Conditioning, and Yoga. K Training develops balance, core stability, strength, flexibility, and cardiovascular conditioning, all in one highly efficient and motivational conditioning session. Cable resistance is adapted individually for each user so anyone can benefit immensely from this tailored system, athletes or beginners.
In K Training, all three components of fitness – cardiovascular, strength, and flexibility – are trained at once, combining the use of resistance with movement patterns. These efficiencies can enable a higher calorie burn than traditional exercise in the same time period. As a result, consistent users find it generally unnecessary to supplement these energizing workouts with separate strength or cardiovascular conditioning.
